This is the city with the most well preserved and untouched urban frame of Malta, with beautiful examples of Norman architectures and very few interventions in terms of town-planning which date back to the age of the Knights.
The main attractions are:
- Main Gate, the city main gate, in baroque style;
- Palazzo Vilhena, (the Great Masters Palace), now seat of the Museum of Natural History;
- Villegaignon Street, the main city axle
- St. Pawl Cathedral, the best example of Maltese baroque.
